Job Details

Bishop Wilson C of E Primary School would like to appoint a dynamic, hard-working and dedicated Manager for our Before & After School Club provision. The successful candidate will also oversee the lunchtime quiet room provision, and maintain the Community Space to ensure it is a friendly, welcoming facility for all users.


Part time: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday; term time only + inset days (39 weeks pa).


Please note due to the nature of the provision, there is a split shift requirement to this role; hours will include admin time. Proposed hours are:


· 7.15am – 9.30am

· 12.00pm – 4.45pm


Please note these times are indicative only and may be subject to change.


Main duties and responsibilities will include:


· Day to day management and organisation of the Before and After School Club

· Line management of the B&A School Club team, directing the work of staff, supervising their activities and motivating the team to deliver high 

  quality creative play opportunities

· Organising staff rotas and cover

· Implementing planning including setting up of resources, and engaging with children

· Promoting good practice and a positive ethos in a professional and inclusive manner

· Undertaking such duties as may become necessary to ensure the successful running of the provision

· Ensuring that the services provide an approach that respects and values children’s life experiences and celebrates diversity

· Overseeing the Quiet Room facility at lunchtimes, and maintaining the Community Space

· Liaise with all relevant stakeholders when required on financial matters

· Working in partnership with the School Leadership Team to ensure the delivery and sustainability of an outstanding Before and After School 

 provision

· Following all relevant school policies and procedures, including those relating to safeguarding, behaviour and health and safety


Candidates need to be:

· Supportive of the school’s Christian values

· Committed and enthusiastic, able to inspire and motivate staff and children

· Friendly and approachable

· Organised and enjoy working as part of a team

· Suitably qualified - NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
