We are continually looking for ways to develop our staff and we now have an exciting opportunity for a Trainee Customer Service Advisor to join the Strategy, Democratic and Customer Services team at Wychavon.

We are looking for an individual with an NVQ Level 2 (or equivalent experience) in Customer Service or Business Administration. You must have good communication and I.T. skills and be able to communicate effectively with customers.

Customer Services Apprentice – £3.50 per hour.

Up to 14 months Apprenticeship

This is an exciting apprenticeship opportunity at Wychavon District Council working within the Strategy, Democratic and Customer Service team.

The Customer Services Apprentice post gives the right candidate a great stepping stone into a Customer Services career with a forward thinking and customer focused District Council.

As Customer Services Apprentice, you will be learning how to operate office equipment such as photocopiers and telephones, taking email and telephone enquiries from customers and with support, work front facing at the Community Contact Centres in Pershore, Evesham and Droitwich.

  • GCSE Maths and English Grade A-C (or equivalent)
  • Commitment to working towards NVQ Level 2 in Customer Service

The successful candidate will have;

  • Effective oral and written communication skills
  • Good IT skills and working knowledge of using MS office packages
  • A confident and flexible approach

Training will be provided to support the post-holder in meeting the requirements.

Wychavon District Council will support the successful individual in completing their NVQ2 alongside their full time job. Time off for training will be supported as appropriate.
