The Role
We have one of the fastest growing economies in the country. Our investment into infrastructure is significant as we strive to ensure Worcestershire remains a fantastic place to live, work, travel through and do business in.  Do you want to be part of assisting with this growth?

We have an excellent career opportunity within our Place Planning Team, part of the Economy and Infrastructure Directorate. This role offers the chance to kick-start your career as a Town Planner, with full support to gain further qualifications while learning on the job. You will play a key role in delivering the vital infrastructure needed to help the county thrive and grow.

This role is centred on delivering the essential infrastructure that supports the growth and prosperity of the county. By joining us, you'll play a key role in planning and the critical infrastructure needed to drive economic growth, protect the environment, and improve the well-being of our communities. This includes projects such as roads, transport systems, schools, waste management facilities, and other vital services that help shape Worcestershire into a vibrant and sustainable place to live, work, and visit.

You will get chance to work with a great range of people, both at the County Council, other Local Authorities and external companies. Our teams consist of talented individuals including engineers, planners, surveyors, project managers, ecologists and civil engineering professionals with a wide variety of skills to support the delivery of growth within the county.

The post is varied and diverse, with no two days being the same. If you thrive on new challenges, have a ‘can-do’ attitude and are an excellent communicator, then this may be just the role for you.

This is your chance to join a passionate and supportive team. By applying for this role, you'll be part of shaping Worcestershire’s future, gaining valuable experience, and progressing your career as a town planner. If you're ready to take on exciting challenges, work with talented professionals, and contribute to a thriving county, we’d love to hear from you. Apply today and take the first step in your career with us!
