Job Details

We are looking for an Event Manager, responsible for developing, managing and co-ordinating the delivery of events at Wednesbury and West Bromwich town halls.

You duties will include:-

  • To develop, co-ordinate and deliver strategic marketing /communication plans and publicity for events/programmes, including market research, statistical data and customer consultation in relation to all events and shows
  • Responsible for overseeing and actioning as appropriate, all required site usability, procedure and process in line with lease agreed tenanted areas and event requirements
  • Build strong partnerships with community groups, third sector organisations, service providers and external agencies to develop and deliver a sustainable offer – identifying financial implications and incorporating strategic planning for securing additional funding/sponsorship.

You will be expected to hold:-

  • Relevant qualification / experience in events/hospitality management for over 2 years – with relevant training
  • Minimum 2 years proven experience in the planning and delivery of  community events, large-scale (major) events/programmes and delivering successful activities/ experiences and projects
  • Experience of successfully managing a diverse range of creative projects
  • Able to work on own initiative to deliver results as well as working productively within a team
  • Able to think creatively towards generating income streams – including grant funding /sponsorship
