Job Title: Outreach Personal Advisor
Salary: £30,599 - £32,456 per annum 
37 Hours per Week
Location: Bromsgrove

The Role: Outreach Personal Advisor

We are a dedicated Team that support our Children Looked After within the Worcestershire County Council who are 16-18 years old.  We support our young people in developing the skills required to successfully transition into adulthood.

We also manage and place young people in our in house placements, across the county and offer day to day practical support, advice and guidance. We cultivate a safe and inclusive environment that fosters respect and value for our young people.  We encourage and assist young people in setting their individual goals and aspirations. 

Qualities you will need are: 

* De escalate situations and provide emotional support to the young people.

*Collaborative working with the multi-agency team around the young person

*Ensure the living accommodation we provide is maintained to an excellent condition, overseeing regular cleaning and maintenance activities.

*Preform routine checks of the accommodation

*Maintain accurate and to up date records of key work sessions, risk assessments, support plans and any incidents.

*Prepare regular reports of management and other professionals

*Advocate for the rights and interests of the young person within the organisation and their community.

*Attend meetings with wider professionals to ensure comprehensive support

*Address identified health and safety concerns confidently and effectively

*Stay up dated with current legislation and training needs

*You must have a willingness to travel across the County to meet the needs of the service, have a full drivers licence and access to a car to travel independently.

*You  will need to have a resilience to working under pressure and in some instances, emotionally charged situations.

*You must be a team player as well as having the ability to work under your own initiative, managing your own diary and proactive time management, being flexible to the needs of the service

*On call duties including sleep in duties are mandatory, as well as weekend working on a rota basis, so this includes unsociable hours planned in advance.
