We offer an exciting opportunity in Adult Social Care for an enthusiastic, knowledgeable individual committed to effective team working to join our Commissioned Services Payments Team

As a member of the Adult Social Care Commissioned Services Payments Team, you will develop positive relationships with care providers across health and social care. This involves significant time spent communicating and negotiating with providers to ensure accurately validated payments are made in line with contract terms and service user individually commissioned support plans. You will operate compliantly within contracted frameworks, policies, procedures and financial regulations.
About the role:
- Deliver a responsive service across payments for all social care commissioned activity.
- Ensure payments to care providers are validated against levels of care received by customers and within the approved commissioned budgetary envelope.
- Deliver the service in a compliant way, adhering to contractual frameworks.
- Investigate any potential payment irregularities and escalate as appropriate.
- Deliver the first line of contact for all social care providers in relation to payments for services delivered, including confirming payment schedules.
- Apply and validate all annual provider uplifts to unit costs of care.
- Confidently undertake queries and where appropriate challenge information provided to ensure payment validations are accurate.
- Resolve provider payment disputes through the application of analytical and communication skills.
- Interface between Social Care teams, Corporate Finance Teams, Procurement, and Commissioning colleagues to ensure accurate payment arrangements are established, communicated, and undertaken.
- Ensure high levels of integrity and auditable processes when processing payments.
About you:
The ideal candidate will have:

- Ability to work autonomously and under pressure.
- Ability to complete competing priorities.
- Ability to build strong networks internally and external agencies across services.
- Experience of working within a high volume, financial information processing environment.
- Experience of analysing high volumes of financial transactional data.
Post holder will have a hybrid of office and home working.
