Our provision for children with complex communication and /or ASD continues to go from strength to strength. We are looking to appoint a highly skilled and experienced Complex Communication and ASD Lead Professional, to support our children and staff on the next part of our improvement journey.
The role will involve working closely with the Inclusion Lead and Communication and Language Lead, and leading our specialist provisions. As part of the role, you will line manage other staff within the specialist provisions and also provide high quality support to children and staff throughout school. Another important aspect to the role, is coordinating with parents and external agencies, to enhance our support offer. There may also be an element of Outreach work, where you will support other schools.

We are looking for a Lead Professional who is:
- experienced and passionate about Complex Communication and ASD
- highly motivated, enthusiastic and want to make a difference everyday
- able to deliver high quality Complex Communication/ASD, which impacts positively on children’s development
- able to lead and line manage other members of the specialist teams
- able to deliver high quality CPD to colleagues/and other schools
- able to work as a team, and be flexible to meet the needs of our children
- able to maintain our high standards of behaviour, and our inclusive and nurturing ethos
- able to develop positive relationships with our children and their families
- able to work effectively with external agencies and act on advice given
Please note candidates will be observed working with children as part of the recruitment process.

Hanbury Primary School is committed to the welfare and safeguarding of all our children. All staff have a duty to safeguard our children and therefore we expect all staff to adhere to our Safeguarding Policy (available on the school website) and participate in annual safeguarding training. As part of the appointment procedure all staff have to undergo a DBS disclosure which will report cautions as well as convictions.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children's Barring List Check.
