About This Role

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Teacher of Music to join our vibrant and forward-thinking Performance team. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and high-quality music lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and possibly expanding into Key Stage 5, fostering a love for music in all learners. Whether it’s leading practical music-making, developing composition skills, or preparing learners for public examinations, your expertise will be instrumental in shaping our young musicians.

About the Faculty

Music is an essential part of life at St John Fisher Catholic College, enriching our learners' educational experience.

  • KS3: Learners develop foundational musical skills in performance, composition, and listening, exploring a range of genres and traditions
  • GCSE: Following the AQA specification, learners study performance, composition, and musical analysis, preparing for higher education and careers in music.
  • We are looking to also offer Level 2 BTEC in Music for Sept 2025 
  • A-LEVEL: Following the Eduqas specification when the course runs (numbers dependent).
