Shepwell governing body seek to appoint a dynamic, hardworking and committed person to the position of Deputy Headteacher.Shepwell School is going through an exciting time of growth and development but it is crucial also that the personal and individualised approach we have is never lost.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to strategically lead our satellite provisions across two sites, ensuring a seamless and effective approach to educational delivery. This role includes overseeing the timetable, teaching & learning, outcomes, and behaviour management for both sites.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the strategic management and operational delivery of Shepwell satellite provisions (currently) across two sites.
• Develop and manage the timetable to ensure it meets the needs of all students.
• Oversee teaching and learning strategies to ensure high standards and positive outcomes for students.
• Manage and support behaviour strategies to create a positive and productive learning environment.
• Lead the Section 19 cohort (placed currently across 3 sites), ensuring their educational and social needs are met.
• Liaise regularly with the local authority, mainstream schools, and other educational providers to ensure smooth collaboration and support for all students.
• Work closely with stakeholders to drive positive educational outcomes and monitor progress.
• Devise and manage transitional plans, primarily for section 19 cohort.
• To undertake such duties as determined by the headteacher.

• Highly organised, with a proactive approach to time management and efficiency.
• Flexible, adaptable, and able to work independently using your own initiative.
• Strong communication skills to liaise with internal teams, external authorities, and stakeholders.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to implement and monitor improvement strategies effectively
• Positive, ethical, kind, compassionate and motivational. You need to have high aspirations for all whilst still seeing the best in everyone.
