Early Years Educator

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our team at Trench Tots Nursery.

Trench Tots Nursery has 4 childcare rooms which the successful applicant will be asked to work in, with children's ages ranging from 3 months up to 7 years old.

The successful applicant will be required to:

Work 40 hours a week, between the hours of 8.00am - 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. Staff rota's are completed and provided to staff 2 weeks in advance. 

Provide stimulating activity ideas and opportunities for the children to enhance their learning, development and social skills.

Ensure your provide communication rich environments which will enhance children's speech, language and vocabulary.

They will assist in completing various types of paperwork such as children's development records, 2 year checks, accident forms etc.

They will assist children with personal care routines such as feeding, dressing, changing nappies and toileting.

Display and demonstrate positive behaviour to the children and show kindness to others.

Establish positive working relationships with our parents and carers and children, staff members, Committee Members and other external professionals.

Be able to work confidently as an individual as well as part of a team.

We require a candidate with at least a Level 3 Qualification in Early Years and Childcare or other relevant qualification.

Qualifications and understanding of the EYFS, safe guarding and child protection, food hygiene and paediatric first aid are desired. If the applicant does not have these certificates, they will be required to complete relevant training in the first 3 months. 

The successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check and must provide suitable references. Failure to do this will mean any potential employment offers will be retracted.

At Trench Tots Nursery we hold compulsory monthly staff meetings which staff are required to attend.

Staff must be willing to continually progress within themselves as we encourage staff to undertake various training courses to develop their CPD.

Interviews will be held face to face at the nursery setting with the nursery Management Team.
