Learning Support Assistant (10 hours per week) - SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School

SS Peter and Paul Catholic Primary School is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Special Educational Needs Learning Support Assistant to work five days part time.

(10 hours per week), Monday to Friday 1:15pm – 3:15pm

 This is a temporary contract until the end of July 2025.

The successful candidate will:

• Support individual pupils on a one-to-one basis or in a small group to develop their social skills allowing them to access the curriculum within a mainstream class
• Have a positive attitude and be flexible to the demands of the job.
•  Demonstrate the ability to use initiative.
•  Be able to work as part of a team and be expected to contribute to its development.

 We are a small Catholic primary school with mixed age year groups. Our staff and children are

 welcoming, motivated and hardworking. We offer a supportive working environment.

The successful applicant will be required to work under the direct instruction of class teachers and the Special Educational Needs Co-ordinator to support children’s learning on a 1:1 basis and within small groups. The post will be based in Y6
