Salary: G10 £43,693 - £48,710 per annum
Contract: Full Time - 37 hours
Car Allowance: Casual
Office Location: Civic Centre, Darwall Street, Walsall or as otherwise directed.
What are we looking for?
Walsall Council is seeking a highly experienced and enthusiastic Trading Standards Officer to work in a busy team delivering a wide range of trading standards activities including product safety, doorstep crime, illicit tobacco and food standards. You will manage a complex caseload of investigations and complaints and ensure that you contribute effectively to team plans and Council priorities.

About you
You will need to be a fully qualified and experienced Trading Standards Officer holding either the Diploma in Trading Standards (DTS), Trading Standards Practitioner Diploma (TSPD) including Food Standards or Product Safety options or Diploma in Consumer Affairs and Trading Standards (DCATS) with Food Standards Service Delivery and Legal Metrology modules, or the Higher Diploma in Consumer Affairs and Trading Standards (HDCATS) with Food Standards Service Delivery and Legal Metrology modules.
A full clean UK driving license is required for this role and access to a vehicle with the ability to travel across the borough.
