Job Details
G7: £32,654 - £37,035 per annum.
We are looking for someone who is able to patrol the streets and district centres of the Borough, engaging with members of the public and businesses and confronting those who seek to do harm or create nuisance in our neighbourhoods.
About the job:
The team deal with anti-social behaviour, neighbour nuisance, environmental crime, highways enforcement and some licensing enforcement. This role involves patrolling in uniform around the streets and other areas for long periods of time sometimes in the evening and at weekends and engaging with all members of the Walsall community. Significant amounts of partnership working take place and there is a requirement to appear at court on behalf of the authority where necessary.
About you:
You will have the ability to patrol of foot for long periods and be available for some evening and weekend duties. You should be able to deal with confrontation and have good interpersonal, time management and organisational skills. Experience of aspects of law enforcement is useful as the role involves taking evidence for prosecution and other enforcement outcomes
