Teacher required from September 2025
Permanent, Full Time Role
Salary: MS1 – UPS3: £31,650 - £49,084 per annum plus TLR 2.3 £4,946 as Lead Practitioner for Maths
John Taylor MAT is looking for established and talented qualified teachers to join its newest, and only ‘all-through’ school in our Trust family. Built from the ground up, Rugeley John Taylor will serve local communities, offering a ‘gold standard’ learning experience to the youngest learners all the way through to sixth formers.
This brand-new school, opening initially with Year 7 in the secondary phase in September 2025, will incorporate many of the features of John Taylor MAT that have become a hallmark of its success. We are seeking to appoint seven teachers across multiple subjects who will form the founding teaching team, working closely with the newly appointed Executive Headteacher and Assistant Headteacher to build an inspiring curriculum and deliver a quality first learning experience.
You could be ideal for this role if you have:
• Experience of teaching in the relevant key stages in relevant subjects
• Ability to implement effective behaviour management strategies
• Understanding of how to provide risk learning opportunities for pupils with SEND and disadvantaged pupils
• A willingness to go the extra mile as the school and staff team evolves
• Ability to take responsibility and accountability for consistent progress of all pupils
• Skills to nurture, inspire, challenge and motivate others, acting as an exemplary role model
Supported by a growing Leadership Team, you will play a key role in the evolution of this new school. If you have the right experience and skills, and the commitment to serve this local community, we want to hear from you.
Please see the recruitment pack here for more details and the timetable for the appointment.
Completed application forms should be emailed to recruitment@jtmat.co.uk
Only fully completed application forms will be submitted for shortlisting. CVs will not be accepted.
