We are looking to appoint positive, dedicated and skilled LSAs, to join our team of strong support staff. The role will require experience of working with children, including those with complex communication and language needs. We have high expectations of our pupils and staff, as we want the very best for everyone in Team Hanbury! Our school has a nurturing and inclusive ethos, where everyone is supported to do their very best.

We are looking for learning support assistants who are:
- able to make a positive difference to the children’s lives
- motivated and enthusiastic, patient but firm with rules and boundaries
- able to develop positive, nurturing relationships with the children and families
- able to offer high quality support to the children
- able to work as a team and be flexible to meet the needs of the children and the school.
- able to offer highly differentiated curriculum, adapt resources and ensure the curriculum is meeting the needs of each child
- able to work with outside agencies and act on advice given
- able to use their own initiative and always gives 100%

Hanbury Primary School is committed to the welfare and safeguarding of all our children. All staff have a duty to safeguard our children and therefore we expect all staff to adhere to our Safeguarding Policy (available on the school website) and participate in annual safeguarding training. As part of the appointment procedure all staff have to undergo a DBS disclosure which will report cautions as well as convictions. Pre-employment checks will be carried out in line with KCSIE
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and is eligible for an enhanced DBS check including a Children's Barring List Check. If you are barred from working with children, you are breaking the law if you apply for this post. Shortlisted candidates applying for a regulated activity role will be asked to complete a self-declaration and disclosure form. Any disclosures declared on this form will be discussed at interview.

Hours: 32.5 hours per week, Term Time plus 5 training days. This is a Fixed Term Contract initially until 31/05/2026 due to SEND funding
