Tiverton School is a primary special school for 42 pupils with learning difficulties; Tiverton is at an exciting stage in its journey - the school is currently in Coundon but will be moving to a new purpose-built school in Whitley in January 2018. We will share this campus with Whitley Abbey Primary School with whom we will continue to develop a meaningful working partnership for pupils, families, staff and other stakeholders.

We are seeking to recruit from 4 December 2017 an enthusiastic and motivated Site Service Officer (Non Resident) You must be enthusiastic, organised and highly skilled in repairs and maintenance.

You will have a repairs and maintenance background and ideally be qualified in a relevant trade e.g. carpentry, plumbing, painting and decorating etc.

The successful candidate will manage a wide remit of tasks including:

• Security
• Health and Safety checks and record keeping
• Site repairs and maintenance including painting and decorating
• Managing contractors and premises refurbishment projects
• General grounds maintenance and cleaning duties
• Reactive repair and maintenance programme
• Planned preventative maintenance to meet current legislation

You will need a flexible approach in line with the needs of the school.

37 hours a week (split shift).

It is essential that you have a full driving licence and are willing to use your own vehicle (mileage allowances are claimable).
