  • PO1 - £29,323 - £31,601, plus market factor of £2,500 per annum
  • We offer a Golden Hello of £3,000 and a Relocation Package for experienced Social Workers.

Telford are involved in the West Midlands Teaching Partnerships that will support our social workers to meet the national accreditation requirements.

Telford & Wrekin Council has put Children and families at the heart of it’s' vision for the future. In reshaping our services, we have established Family Connect, a new multiagency partnership approach to safeguarding children and young people.

Family Connect operates a single point of contact for services accessed by the public and professionals to ensure that the right service is delivered at the right time, in the right place by the right people.

> Oral and written communication skills i.e. ability to express complex concepts and information.

> Ability to plan, organise and prioritise a demanding workload, in order to maintain the delivery of multiple, competing short and long term objectives.

> Ability to communicate effectively

> Ability to use information technology and computerised information systems

> High level inter-personal skills, including the ability to develop effective working relationships and promote good customer care
> Good communication skills, both verbally and written. Post holder will need to liaise with staff within and outside of the agency and prepare good quality written work

> Excellent time-management skills with proven ability to prioritise work, meet deadlines and maintain effective organisational systems

> Experience working with children or young people, in either a statutory or voluntary capacity.

> Experience in working with children and families in assessing needs, setting tasks and reviewing the progress of action/care plans.

> Experience of working with other professionals in a formal setting.
