Working closely with a number of key partners, we actively promote Health and Wellbeing through a diverse portfolio of daily activities across all ours services. These stretch across the Borough as we strive to get more people active and creative in their local communities.

Made up of Meadowside, Uttoxeter & Shobnall Leisure Centres, the Brewhouse Arts Centre, Burton Market Hall, Burton Town Hall, parks & open spaces and Sports Development, Cultural Services offers a variety of opportunities to further your career.

The Health Development Officer role plays a vital role in the operation of the Sports Development Team, providing links and working partnerships with Sport, Health and Physical Activity partners.

Developing a variety of Sport, Health and Physical activity initiatives with local and national partners to the benefit of local residents and communities.

You should be educated to a Sport, Health or business related degree or HND equivalent and have experience of working with Sports Clubs and with health and voluntary sectors.

Candidate must demonstrate Project Management, Financial Management and People Management skills and experience. You should also have excellent communication and organisation skills and be IT literate.

The hours of work are 22.2 hours per week, over 3 days which will be agreed with the successful candidate.
