Our Internal Audit team provide a range of audit services both internally, and to a number of local authorities. We provide internal audit, counter fraud and risk management services, aiming to support and improve the effectiveness of risk management, control and governance processes as part of a commercially viable and forward thinking operating service. Working for Warwickshire County Council in Internal Audit presents you with the unique opportunity to operate within a hugely diverse client base; from Fire and Rescue to various District and County Councils and Police Forces.

Following on from a successful team review, we’re now moving forward to recruit to a number of roles within the team, as a result of growing demand and growth.

The roles

If you desire routine, predictability of workload and enjoy being immersed in the granular level detail, these will not be the right opportunities for you.

If you are ambitious, enjoy flexible working in an autonomous and proactive way, focus your attention on the big picture, all whilst creating and nurturing solid working and commercial relationships, then these roles will be a great match.

1 x part-time (18.5 hours) Principal Auditor - £32,486 to £34,538 (FTE)

  • Covering mainly Warwickshire County Council but with some work required at Stratford-upon-Avon District Council.

3 x full-time (37 hours) Senior Auditor - £27,668 to £30,153

  • 2 posts will cover Worcestershire County Council and Warwickshire and West Mercia Police and would be based at County Hall, Worcester but some travel to other clients may be needed. 
  • 1 post will mainly undertake work at Stratford-upon-Avon but some travel to other clients, particularly Warwickshire, will be necessary. 

1 x full-time (37 hours) Auditor - £22,658 to £24,964

  • Most of the work in this post would be in Stratford-upon-Avon, with some for Warwickshire County Council, too.

The base locations of these posts can be one of three; Elizabeth House, Stratford-upon-Avon, Shire Hall, Warwick or County Hall, Worcester (you'll be able to state your preference on application)
