Shropshire, TF10 9JN
Tel: 01952 386390
Required from September 2018
Salary Group 1 ISR L8 £46,799 – L14 £54,250
Due to the retirement of our current Headteacher our Governing Body is seeking to appoint an inspirational Headteacher with strong leadership and management skills to take up the position in September 2018.
Church Aston Infant School is a small village infant school close to the market town of Newport, Shropshire. This is a thriving and growing community and whilst our school currently caters for Reception to Year 2 children although nothing can be guaranteed there is a proposal in the Telford and Wrekin Local Plan to increase provision at the school to an age 3 to 11 year primary school in a new building.
We believe that children should be encouraged to reach their potential in a happy and secure environment that meets their individual needs.
‘The quality of teaching is good. Teachers expect the best of their pupils who, in turn, find their lessons informative and enjoyable. As a result, pupils of all abilities work hard and achieve well. Pupils behave well in class and around the school. They feel valued and extremely well cared for. As a result, they are considerate and take good care of each other.’ Ofsted 2014.
We are looking for a positive and motivational leader to build on the current successes of our school and help us to continue to achieve the best for our children. Your passion for teaching, combined with a focus on raising standards and a creative and dynamic approach to supporting school improvement, will enable you to further develop our school for the future. We are looking for a successful team player with excellent communication skills and an ability to develop strong and positive relationships to join our committed, hard-working and welcoming team.
You will have the ability to understand pupil requirements and organise resources to maximise opportunities whilst also developing the potential of staff. Your experience of teaching, leading and managing coupled with financial awareness and knowledge of relevant legislation, frameworks and National Curriculum will support you to meet the targets and objectives that are key to this role.
