About Us

Transport Operations secures all home to school transport provision for mainstream students and students with special educational needs as well as transport to day care services for adults.

We’re looking for a Passenger Assistant to join us working 25 hours per week on a term time basis from our Warwick Depot. 

The Role

25.0 Hours per Week

Permanent Contract

As our Passenger Assistant you’ll be working within a team on a split shift system that will include the morning shift from 7.00 am to 11.00 am and then return for the afternoon shift from 2.00 pm to 6.00 pm each week day.  You’ll be responsible for assisting with transporting adults and children to Day Care; Respite placements and Schools across Warwickshire which will include helping passengers on and off the bus; ensuring their comfort and safety during transportation; maintaining the vehicle records as well ensuring the bus is clean and tidy after each use.  In addition you’ll help the wider team as required.  Full training will be provided.

Key Requirements

To be successful in this role, it’s really important you can work on the split shift system including early mornings and afternoons.  As you’ll be working with a range of diverse people it’s also important you have good communication and customer care skills and used to providing a courteous and sensitive service.  With the ability to work within a team as well as on your own initiative; flexible in your approach, helping the wider team as necessary; you’ll be used to handling confidential information with tact and discretion.  It would be advantageous if you have experience of working in a multi-cultural environment and have experience of working with young and elderly people as well as people with disabilities.
