St Giles’ and St George’s C of E Academy is a welcoming, vibrant and inclusive community on the edge of Newcastle under Lyme, Staffordshire. Because of our popularity, we have expanded from one to two-form entry and our beautiful new building is now complete. We are now ready to build on our well-established leadership team to further develop our high quality provision recognised by our Ofsted and SIAMS in the autumn term.

We are seeking a dedicated and ambitious teacher with experience of leading teams, monitoring teaching and learning, of successfully leading improvement and raising standards to develop as a senior leader and take the next step towards headship. As a member of the senior leadership team, the Deputy Headteacher will be centrally involved in the management of the Academy and will be responsible for raising standards and helping establish a culture that is nurturing and rigorous. If you are a dynamic and inspirational leader with the capacity to grow and develop in the role, if you have initiative, constructive enthusiasm, a thorough knowledge, particularly in KS1 and EYFS and the ambition to play a major role in the leadership and management of our academy then we would love to hear from you.

We can offer you wonderful children who are polite and eager to learn and a hard working and supportive staff team. The academy has a proud and rich history of tradition on which to build ambitious and creative plans. As a Church of England Academy, we would particularly welcome applications from candidates who can commit to our Christian mission and ethos.

Candidates are warmly invited to visit the academy prior to application. To arrange an appointment or to request an application pack, please contact the academy on 01782 917640.
