SEND Social Care is seeking Social Workers to join the team on a permanent, full-time basis year round (52 weeks).

SEND Social Care is a frontline children’s team with a specialism in disability/additional needs. The team offers a social work service for all children with complex needs. We support our staff to deliver services in partnership with health and education professionals which are able to enhance the life experiences and chances of children and young people with a disability and their families, keeping them safe and healthy.

We aim to provide a responsive service which is able to recognise and meet the needs of children and all their family members. 

The Role

37.0 Hours per Week

You will be required to work with a variety of children, young people, and their carers, including people with learning disabilities, Autistic Spectrum Disorders (ASD), physical disabilities, and mental health difficulties. You will also support young people with disabilities in their transition from children’s to adult services. You will be required to undertake outcome focused tasks, support planning, reviews, risk assessments and reports, crisis intervention/duty, and safeguarding within Child In Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Children procedures. Focusing on strengths and utilising an asset-based approach, you will enable children to identify hoped for outcomes, meet their full potential, and maximise their independence.

The team is based across two sites, one in North and one in South Warwickshire – and there is flexibility with regards to where you would be based. We support our staff to deliver services which are able to enhance the life experiences and chances of children and young people with a disability and their families.
