Director of Regeneration
We’ve worked hard to earn the title ‘Local Authority of the Year’. Ambitious but realistic, we’ve built the foundations for future development through successful growth and regeneration.
With a vision that goes far beyond property, we’re breathing new life into the City of Wolverhampton. In this exciting, high-profile role, you can take your career forward by making progress happen.
Working closely with our partners, we’re creating an environment where people can gain skills, seize new opportunities and prosper. We’ve developed a solid economic plan, underpinned by major regeneration projects. Now we need a Director of Regeneration who’s as motivated as we are to continue to transform our city.
You’ll lead a wide ranging development programme covering:
• City Development
• Local Economy
• City Planning
• Visitor Economy
This is a fantastic opportunity to forge a strong team. Leading multi-million-pound projects which are crucial to the city’s economic and social success, you’ll be a forward thinking, commercially savvy, strategic operator who will help us to seize opportunities.
With experience in private and public-sector development, you’ll relish the chance to take on complex projects and challenges. You’re adept at working with multiple partners and negotiating agreements. You’ll be just as confident dealing with Members and senior leaders, as well as leading teams. Influential and professional, you’ll be a credible, respected figure. Yours is a valuable skillset – and we want to instil it in our team. So, you’ll be giving our people the commercial edge to deliver key sites and projects.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a council with a national reputation for delivering transformation and make a real difference to the lives of local people.
We have a standard application form for you to complete and we are happy for you to upload your CV. However, we would like all applicants to provide a comprehensive covering statement telling us why they are suitable for the role and what they will bring to this exciting new opportunity.
