Applications are invited from forward-thinking and highly motivated teachers who wish to join our Ofsted Outstanding, Church of England village school, from September 2018.
The post is to teach a mixed age class of two year groups within either Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2 and is offered at M1-M2 level. It is likely that next year the successful candidate would teach in either KS1 or lower KS2. Candidates should be willing to teach across both key stages in the future.
Our friendly, popular and highly regarded school is located in a stunning Cotswold village, just south of beautiful Stratford-upon-Avon, on a site which takes full advantage of our rural surroundings and offers a positive environment to enhance our children’s learning.
We aim to provide a supportive working environment where teamwork within our small staff team is highly valued, and where there is a climate of mutual respect (and fun!) as we all seek to develop and improve our practice, whatever stage we are at in our careers. There is strong support for the school from our parents, governors and the local community and we have close links with St Mary’s, our local church. We can offer you your full entitlement of 10% planning, preparation and assessment time and ongoing professional growth opportunities as you develop your teaching career.
If you are an NQT, you will be given a mentor, access to wider support networks of other NQTs, and you will be given an additional 10% NQT non-contact time. We fully recognise the importance of your first year of teaching and want to help you to plan for its success.
We are seeking to appoint a talented and committed teacher, with relevant experience, who recognises that education involves more than just the teaching of knowledge and skills, but also has a strong focus on supporting children in their personal development. We place great importance on our children’s happiness, recognising that their wellbeing is central to their success. You should be able to deliver high-quality lessons, which enthuse and inspire our children to learn and to make the best possible progress.
If you value encouraging your pupils to be the best they can be, recognising that learning for all of us is life-long, we would love to hear from you.
