Tamworth Borough Council is recruiting a Benefits Advisor to join an efficient, dedicated, customer-focused team, responsible for administering Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction in a modern, secure way.

Experience of working in the Benefits environment is desirable, although full training can be given. You will be part of a team responsible for all aspects of the Housing Benefit/Council Tax Reduction schemes, as well as giving advice and assistance to our customers and taking a proactive role to recover overpaid benefit. You must have excellent communication skills, a commitment to customer care and be proficient in the use of complex software systems. You must also be capable of working to tight deadlines whilst ensuring consistency and accuracy.
