Required, as soon as possible, additional Teaching Assistants within our Special Needs Department (SEN), to work under the direction of the Head of Department to enable students to access learning and to assist the class teacher in the management of students and the classroom. We are an ARP school (providing additional resourced provisions for physically disabled students – both male and female). This being the case, the successful candidates will have some involvement in students’ personal care.
The SEN department at Streetly is a large, outstanding team. You will be joining a progressive team, where there is the opportunity for professional development and to both engage in and deliver training to others.
Over the past 5 years, The Streetly Academy has achieved outstanding results, breaking all historical records for the school. Our value added figure is consistently in the top 20% nationally.
The Academy offers a unique blend of tradition and future, seeking the highest standards of behaviour and appearance, whilst maintaining an emphasis on harnessing technologies, and exploring every avenue in improving teaching, learning, and assessment.
We are proud of our specialism, and make every effort to ensure all students are given the opportunity to develop and progress, in terms of health and leadership, via the avenue of PE and Sport. If you are looking for an opportunity to join a progressive school and departments that thrive on good humour and team work then we look forward to receiving your application.
