Who are we?

Warwickshire Youth Justice Service (WYJS) is one of the highest performing YOTs in the country, delivering high quality interventions which have been proven to be effective in reducing the number of young people entering the criminal justice system, reducing re-offending by young people who have committed crime, and reducing the number of young people remanded or sentenced to custody. WYJS is made up of staff from various agencies, including Warwickshire County Council, Warwickshire Police, National Probation Service and Public Health, who are working together with young people, parents and families to prevent crime and anti-social behaviour and to reduce re-offending.

We are a countywide service, and have offices based in the two purpose built Justice Centre's in Warwickshire (Leamington and Nuneaton) and a delivery centre operating from our Bloxham office in Rugby. We employ around 70 staff, working across a number of disciplines and this includes practitioners, sessional workers, managers and support staff. We also have a number of panel member volunteers.

The Role

37.0 Hours per Week

Who are we looking for?

We need a Group Manager who can provide the right senior, strategic level leadership that will support the Chief Officers Board in setting the vision and  direction for the Service and someone who will lead the overall management and development of the service. As a multi-agency partnership, you will be responsible for engaging statutory partners and funders such as Warwickshire County Council, Warwickshire Police, the National Probation Service, CCG and the Office of the Warwickshire Police & Crime Commissioner.

This role gives the right person the chance to produce high impact, tangible results. In doing this, you will lead a team of approximately 70 staff, manage a budget of £2.3m and hold responsibility for multiple service users, victims and families.

If this resonates with the way you operate, reflects your experience and you can see yourself making a positive impact in the role, we would welcome your application.
