This opportunity is a 1 year Fixed Term contract commencing 01/09/2018 until 31/08/2019.

We are looking for a senior leader who has extensive experience of safeguarding to advise schools on a wide range of safeguarding matters. You will contribute to training and development and will support schools in ensuring safeguarding procedures are robust. You will work alongside the Schools Safeguarding Officer to ensure that schools are up to date with statutory requirements and guidance in relation to safeguarding and Child Protection.

We want every school to be judged good or better by the local authority and Ofsted. You will have a key role in achieving this aim, and will lead on specific areas of strategic importance for the local authority in order to raise standards.

This post is exempted under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this post. Any offer of appointment will be conditional upon receipt of a satisfactory Enhanced DBS check and other relevant pre-employment checks.
