ASSISTANT HEADTEACHER (DIRECTOR OF ENGLISH) – L13-L17 – PERMANENT POST
We have a stunning opportunity for a talented and experienced leader to join our Senior team.
Here at Streetly we have a proud blend of tradition and innovation. We have high expectations of behaviour, appearance, respect and conduct. Meanwhile, as one of only 3 Secondary Google Reference Schools in the UK, we harness the exciting opportunities technologies offer us to support, extend and enhance teaching and learning.
Staff well-being is at the centre of our operations. We have a low staff turnover, significantly below the national average, and a staff absence rate of nearly half that of schools nationally. This is because we look after our staff, including a health care plan to cover some of the costs of keeping you well for services such as dental, physio and eye care, with the addition of counselling and fast track to consultant appointments should you be carrying the worry of a health scare.
Following retirement of the current post holder, we are seeking to appoint an Assistant Headteacher into the role of Director of English. Whilst driving your subject area forward, we will also offer you the opportunity to feed into and lead on the strategic direction of the school.
If this exciting opportunity interests you, and this is the environment where you want to work, then we look forward to receiving your application.
Full details of this vacancy and relevant application forms are available via our website at: www.thestreetlyacademy.co.uk Last date for receipt of completed applications: midnight on 1st May 2018. Interviews to be held on Tuesday 9th and / or Wednesday 10th May 2018.
Candidates are actively encouraged to contact or visit the school although we appreciate this may not always be possible and is not part of the selection process.
The Streetly Academy is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. This post is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and a prohibition from teaching check.
