Tenancy Sustainment Officer

Grade F £21,962 - £24,964 pro rata

CH222 –  14.8 Hours per week

Fixed Term post up to 2 years from appointment

The Housing Department are looking for a self-motivated individual with a confident and professional approach with the desire to develop sustainable tenancies in the District of Cannock Chase.

The successful candidate will be an integral part of the Neighbourhoods Team and will be expected to deliver a high quality professional service with the aim to provide a comprehensive range of housing related support that is tailored to meet the needs of customers.

You should have previous experience in a customer focussed Housing related environment, together with experience of Housing Management advice and support, along with liasing and working in partnership with other agencies in managing complex cases.

You should have the ability to use Microsoft Office Packages such as Word, Excel and Outlook and have sufficient numeracy skills in order to produce statistical reports. You must also be able to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing and be able to establish good working relationships with a wide range of people and organisations.

You should have good communication skills as well as the ability to prioritise your own work in order to meet performance deadlines.  You must also have the relevant knowledge and awareness of the issues affecting vulnerable people and have an awareness and understanding of the needs of a diverse community.

You should hold an NVQ Level 3 or above in Housing Practice or be able to demonstrate equivalent vocational experience.

Relevant knowledge of Housing Management Law would also be desirable to this post.
