Class Teacher KS1 (Kemball Special School)
Salary TMS plus SEN £2062 per annum
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and enthusiastic teacher to join our hard working and committed team. You will be working with our pupils with moderate to severe learning difficulties who are working on differentiated National Curriculum programmes of study. We would welcome applicants who have experience of delivering/secure knowledge of the primary curriculum. Experience of working with pupils who have special educational needs is essential plus a willingness to further your own professional development by attending relevant courses and implementing new initiatives.
Kemball School is a day special school for pupils aged between 3 and 19 years of age with cognitive and learning difficulties (pmld, sld, & mld some of whom have complex medical/physical needs). The school has a happy atmosphere and is welcoming and friendly. The current number on roll is 193 however the school is still expanding. We have a post 16 department for PMLD students. Other students will continue to transfer to different settings at the age of 16.
* Non contact time of 1 day per fortnight
