The SEND and Inclusion team have high expectations for learners with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND). We want to support learners to fulfil their potential. 

The Role

37.0 Hours per Week

Fixed Term Contract for 12 months.

In Warwickshire, over 1,500 learners with SEND are supported with their transport to school every day.

This new role will carry out risk assessments to ensure that learners with SEND are provided with the appropriate transport assistance to arrive at school ready to learn.

The Risk Assessor will personally visit learners, as well as drawing on other information, to carry out a risk assessment in accordance with the Home to School Transport Policy.

The assessment will make a recommendation on whether transport assistance is required and if so, what arrangements should be put in place to support the learner.

Key Requirements

The successful candidate will have experience of working with learners with special educational needs and disabilities and be able to carry out risk assessments to ensure safe travel to and from school. 

The candidate will also need to have strong communication skills working with learners, parents and carers, transport operators, schools and colleagues at the County Council.
