The Dormston School is an Ofsted Grade 2 rated secondary school based in Dudley, West Midlands. Our school is a mixed gender 11-16 community school of 1,111 students. We are seeking to appoint a new Head Teacher who will have the ability to consolidate and build upon our current successes and continue to improve the school further on our journey towards becoming an outstanding school.

The school enjoys an enviable reputation locally, which is reflected in our being over-subscribed through first choice applications alone. Salary: L33 to L39 (£86, 435 to £100,072)

Location: Dormston School, Mill Bank, Sedgley, DY3 1SN

Required for January 2019 the Governors of Dormston School are seeking to appoint an aspirational and inspirational Head Teacher who will:

  • continue to improve our academic results;
  • provide inspirational leadership, ensuring delivery of academic excellence through the highest possible standards of teaching and learning;
  • consolidate and continue to develop our community links and collaborative networks;
  • strengthen and improve upon our reputation as a caring, nurturing and inclusive school;
  • maintain high aspirations for students, ensuring they are equipped with the knowledge, skills and behaviours needed to face the challenges of the ever-changing world.
