Social Workers (Adoption)
There are currently Social Worker vacancies in the service, permanent and full time. These are in the:
• ACE Hub - which is responsible for the recruitment, preparation, assessment and support to adoptive families. The post holder will be primarily assessing and supporting families in south Warwickshire and Worcestershire.
• ACE Spoke – responsible for working closely with Children Social Work Teams in family finding for children and providing support services to adoptive families. You will be supporting families in the Coventry and central and north Warwickshire areas.
ACE is also seeking to recruit a pool of suitably experienced Social Workers who will undertake adopter and non-agency adoption assessments on an occasional basis. You will be on a zero hour contract and paid an hourly rate of £26.53.
All applicants need to have knowledge of children social work and adoption practice and a strong commitment to ensuring permanency for children in care. You must be prepared to work in a dynamic and new environment as our aim is to ensure that children are placed with their adoptive parents as soon as possible. Also that we have a sufficient and diverse range of well supported adoptive parents who can meet the needs of children requiring permanency.
This is a regional initiative and a flexible approach to working practices and an ability to travel across the region if necessary, will be required. If you are interested in the in occasional work you must be experienced in completing prospective adopter assessments and be able to work independently and meet timescales. It would be possible to work from office sites based in Coventry, Warwick or Worcester.
