Safeguarding Officer (Fixed Term Contract)
Sandwell Safeguarding Children Board (SSCB) are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic person to join our business unit. The Safeguarding Officer role is key in ensuring the smooth running across a wide range of duties, and with a wide range of partners, but will have a focus on Quality and Governance.
- To work with the Subgroups of the multiagency partnership to achieve high standards in safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children through evaluation and continuous monitoring
- To operate in a pressurised environment with minimal supervision using own initiative to ensure the SSCB delivers its statutory duties
- Provide regular management information reports on key safeguarding data, trends and risk
- To collect, collate and analyse safeguarding data to inform management reports, KPIs and audit/ case review themes
This role has opportunities for both self-development; to make full effective use of IT; to suggest and develop innovative approaches to achieve solutions; and to identify more efficient and resilient ways of working.
This role works across a number of departments and organisations, but is currently hosted by the newly created Sandwell Children’s Trust.
This position is fixed term until March 2020
