Woodhouse Primary Academy is situated in the West Birmingham suburb of Quinton. Opened in 1931 as a maintained primary school it achieved academy status in September 2013 under the umbrella of Education Central Multi Academy Trust (ECMAT), University of Wolverhampton.

The two-form entry academy currently has 455 pupils on roll from Nursery to Year 6. Our academy community is very diverse and closely reflects the demographic population of Birmingham.

The academy was last inspected in July 2015 and achieved an OFSTED Good grading, with Behaviour and Safety graded as Outstanding.


Full time maternity cover post, required for September 2018


We are seeking to appoint an inspirational and creative classroom practitioner to join our Key Stage 1 team. The post is a fixed term contract from 1st September 2018 until 31st August 2019 to cover maternity leave. The post would be suitable for experienced teachers or NQTs.

Woodhouse Primary Academy is a popular two-form entry school that serves a diverse community in Quinton. We have friendly, responsive and enthusiastic children who love coming to school. At our last Ofsted inspection we were graded as a ‘good’ school, with the behaviour and safety of pupils being judged as ‘outstanding’. The inspection team described our children as behaving “exceptionally well in lessons and around the academy.” We are a well-resourced and spacious academy, with exciting grounds including our forest school area of Pitts Wood.
