The role

• Develop and implement programmes that support the Coventry Music Education Hub in its delivery of the core and extension roles as part of the National Plan for Music Education.
• Support the management team in ensuring inclusivity and engagement of all children and young people in the city.
• Facilitate the delivery of workshops in a variety of settings

You’ll need

• A Music degree or qualification OR substantial professional experience as a musician or music practitioner
• Experienced in music education and knowledgeable of a music education hub
• Have the ability to generate relationships with schools and stakeholders to expand the delivery of music education across the city
• Deliver and lead sessions in their musical area of expertise
• Deliver and co-ordinate projects and events both inside and outside of the school day and are flexible to work evenings and weekends across the whole year (41 weeks)

As the lead organisation for the Music Education Hub we aim to deliver and support music in all the schools and extended learning settings in the city. Our delivery includes exciting collaborations with musicians from across the region and further afield and run regular music groups/ensembles as well as other music projects to further music education.

Coventry Music are looking to recruit a team of dynamic, enthusiastic and passionate music engagement officers to expand music inclusion and access for all children and young people in the city.
