The Family Focus team in Warwick undertake parenting assessments, provide a supervised contact service for parents and children, as well as undertake direct work with families.
We work alongside the Children's Safeguarding and Support Service in Warwick district, supporting the work of Social Workers on specific cases.

We are recruiting for a full-time Social Care Worker.
The Social Care Worker will undertake a range of tasks across the team; this will include supervising contact, undertaking direct work helping parents to develop their parenting skills and undertaking life story work with children and young people. You may also have the opportunity to contribute to parenting assessments, which are primarily undertaken by the Social Workers within the Family Focus team.
As a full-time social care worker within the team, an additional part to this role will be working closely with the Team Manager and Administrator, to ensure that families referred to the team are supported with an effective contact service. You will liaise with other social care workers and sessional workers, draw up plans for families and communicate these with the families and Social Work team. You will also support the contact service by supervising contacts and working with families as and when required.
37.0 Hours per Week
We are looking for people who can demonstrate they have the skills to work with children and families. You will need to have good written skills and be competent in the basic use of IT. You will need to be able to communicate effectively to engage children and their families at an appropriate level.
