Rugby Borough Council has an opportunity for a Corporate ICT Manager with strong technical capabilities and leadership skills.  This is an exciting time for the Council as it progresses with the digitalisation and transformation of services.   The Corporate ICT Manager will be responsible for the delivery of a fit for purpose and cost effective ICT service.  You will lead a team whose remit is to provide efficient and effective ICT solutions that address business needs and assist services in transforming and improving business processes.

You will be responsible to the Head of Communities and Homes for the delivery of the Council’s ICT service and for the development and implementation of the Councils ICT Strategy and operational plans.  A key part of the role will be to lead the ICT element of the council’s digitalisation journey and to provide advice and guidance on the appropriate use of current and emerging technology.  The postholder will also provide leadership and managment to a highly skilled ICT team.

The role would suit someone who is qualified to degree level and/or with extensive experience in the management of an ICT Service and teams. Providing strong leadership, building and motivating teams, reacting appropriately and quickly to challenges and being an enthusiastic and skilled communicator are all key to the success of the role. 

The person we are looking for will need to be a dynamic, adaptable and experienced officer who can make a major contribution to the achievement of the Council’s priorities.
