Due to the continued success of our Nursery provision, we are now looking to appoint experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Practitioners and Room Leaders.

We are currently expanding our ‘outstanding’ baby unit which caters for children from 7 months to 2 years of age. The successful applicant must have childcare experience and be able to work well with our enthusiastic team. In turn, this will strengthen our existing team in Monkeys Childcare ensuring we deliver a positive contribution to the high quality, nurturing, caring and learning environment we provide.

Monkspath Junior and Infant School Family Centre and Monkeys Childcare are run by the Governors of the school. Monkeys Childcare and The Monkspath Family Centre are integral to the school and provide high quality child-care and support for families.

Key responsibilities for Early Years Practitioners and Room Leader role include:

•Organising and providing a warm, secure and stimulating learning environment for babies and young children;

•Planning a developmentally appropriate learning programme of activities for babies and young children;

•Fulfilling the responsibilities of a keyworker for allocated children;

•Carrying out observations and assessments as required in line with the EYFS

•Taking the lead responsibility for maintaining accurate records and their security in line with the Data Protection requirements, for all children in your care;

•Liaising with parents regarding the welfare, behaviour and achievements of their child

•Assisting the Extended Day Manager and School Leaders as and when required.

•Being a ‘people person’ demonstrating exceptional inter-personal skills

•Being committed to the safeguarding of children.

•Having a flexible and positive approach to challenge and change.

Successful applicants will work well in a team and will have excellent communication and organisational skills.
