Required to start in September 2018

To work 6 hours & 40 minutes per week in 1 hour 20 minutes shift per day to be worked between 11:45am and 1:20pm - dependant on the class that the successful applicant is allocated to.

Kings Heath Primary School is a large, fully-accessible, mainstream Primary School with three classes in each year group from Reception upwards and a waiting list for places. Our total school capacity is 654 pupils in the main school and 104 part time pupils (52 full time equivalents) in our Nursery. Kings Heath Primary School was judged to continue to be a “Good” School in the Ofsted inspection of the autumn term 2016.

School Lunchtimes are an important part of the school day and we are currently seeking to appoint enthusiastic Lunchtime Supervisors who are passionate about working with children to join our existing large team as soon as possible.

The role includes supervising the children during lunch, supporting with eating and playtime activities, assisting with keeping the dining halls clean and safe, encouraging and promoting good behaviours, being a positive role model for the children and actively promoting inclusive play. The ideal candidate must have good interpersonal skills, be trustworthy, reliable, punctual as well as being patient and confident when working with children. Previous experience of working with children is desirable but not essential.

Successful applicants to start as soon as possible.

This post is covered by Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) and therefore the ability to speak fluent spoken English is an essential requirement for this role. The ability to speak any additional languages will be seen as a potential advantage.
