We are a central Fostering Service and have two bases one in Bedworth and the other in Warwick. This post is based in Saltisford, Warwick. We are a friendly and supportive team. We try to be creative and welcome ideas to improve our service delivery. Our challenge (as for many fostering services) is to recruit foster carers and improve placement stability.

The Role

The Social Care Worker role is key for the retention of foster carers. You will be asked to complete task centred pieces of work for example behaviour management strategies etc to help foster carers maintain placements. We work closely with all social workers and psychologists. Social care workers are also involved in the induction and supporting our newly approved foster carers and help with training delivery. There is also an opportunity to be involved in running support groups and 'kids who foster' groups for foster carers own children. 

Full time post but with ability to work flexibly, may require some evening and weekend work on occasion.
