Opportunities are available across Children's Social Care for permanent & fixed term Social Workers.

Our Safeguarding & Support teams, Children with Disability team & Children in Care teams work in small social work pods, comprising of a practice manager, social workers, social work assistant and a pod coordinator who provides administrative support. They are seeking social workers who have experience undertaking statutory duties around safeguarding, children in need & children in care planning.

The Fostering Service is looking for a passionate & experienced social worker to join their team. Children in care &/or fostering experience is desirable in order to supervise & support a mixed caseload of general and kinship foster carers.

The Family & Adolescent Support Team is seeking experienced social workers who will work in partnership with families with the aim of supporting them to remain together through the provision of flexible, responsive support at times of crisis. The role will help families develop their own resources to problems & enhance resilience within families working closely with multi agency colleagues.

Children's Social Care is committed to continuous professional development along with offering a clear practice framework of Systemic Practice. There is also investment in Signs of Safety as a practice approach that provides tools and a consistent approach to working with children & families in the City.
