Business Administration Apprentice

Are you looking to start a career in Business Administration, we are keen to take on an Apprentice to learn the foundations of supporting IT projects. The successful applicant will work in our ICT Project Management Office at Shire Hall in Warwick. The role is exciting and diverse - no two days are the same. You will be involved in a wide variety of project administration and support tasks.

Apprenticeship Pay Scale from 1 April 2018:

Point 1 = £155.40 per week, £4.20 per hour, £8,108.55 per annum – initial salary for all new starte rs for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship
Progression of pay after 12 months are complete as follows:
Point 2 = £218.30 per week, £5.90 per hour, £11,390.58 per a nnum - completed 12 months and aged 19 - 20
Point 3 = £273.06 per week, £7.38 per hour, £14,247.88 per annum - completed 12 months and aged 21 – 24
Point 4 = £289.71 per week, £7.83 per hour, £15,116.66 per annum – completed 12 months and aged 25+
All Level 2 and Level 3 Apprentices start at Point 1.
You reach Point 2 if aged 19 or above and have completed 12 months of the apprenticeship.
You reach Point 3 if aged 21 or above and have completed 12 months of the apprenticeship.
You reach Point 4 if aged 25 or above and have completed 12 months of the apprenticeship.
This is a Business Administration apprenticeship, which will support and enable you to work effectively in a business environment. Several Warwickshire County Council apprentices have undertaken the Business Administration apprenticeship and are now in permanent jobs in areas like Finance, Human Resources, Community Support, Children's Services and Public Health; and they earned those opportunities by taking part in a wide field of knowledge and experiences. The qualification will launch your career as a business professional and enable you to step up into a huge variety of different roles upon completion, as the transferable skills you acquire from this apprenticeship are the glue that holds businesses together and will be indispensable to you for the rest of your career!
Role responsibilities will include:
- To support and assist with projects/programmes by producing project documentation, organising and supporting meetings and events and providing administrative support
- To assist in the management and maintenance of project/programme standards, including documentation, filing structures, version control and standard templates
- To deliver and coordinate general project management tasks that ensure efficient working practices
- To collect, collate, analyse and report data relating to projects/programmes
- To support and assist with customer and stakeholder engagement by preparing and monitoring communications plans and helping to arrange customer/stakeholder workshops and co-production events.

- A minimum of five GCSE's at grade A* - C / 9 - 4, or equivalent, in English and Maths
- Good IT skills (Word processing and Internet)
- Ability to maintain, update and analyse data
- Good time management, organisational skills and ability to work under own initiative
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and in writing
