At a time of financial constraints and increasing pressures on our budgets the Finance Service plays a key role in ensuring that the Council can continue to deliver a vast range of services to our Community in the most effective way possible. Our aim is to maximise the specialist skills available in the team to add value and support all Council Services. As part of driving our Finance Service forward we are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team, who is committed to developing a modern finance service to meet the changes and challenges which lie ahead.
This is a key post reporting to a Group Accountant and you will have a significant role in providing financial advice, supporting key cost improvement plans and project work, whilst working closely with the management team of the Adult Social Care service. Applicants should have the ability to continually review, challenge and develop our service as well as ensuring Service Delivery Managers have the tools and advice required to meet their business objectives and may be required to manage a team.
