Made up of Meadowside, Uttoxeter & Shobnall Leisure Centres, the Brewhouse Arts Centre, Burton Market Hall, Burton Town Hall, parks & open spaces and Sports Development, Cultural Services offers a variety of opportunities to further your career

The successful candidate will have the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). We require a hardworking individual to join our lifeguarding team at Meadowside Leisure Centre.

The role consists of patrolling the pools, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness, changing room supervision and setting up of rooms and equipment. In addition to maintain orderly behaviour and demonstrate the ability to offer all customers a fantastic leisure experience.

It is a compulsory requirement to have the National Pool Lifeguard Qualification (NPLQ). In addition the successful candidate must attend regular monthly training in order to maintain this qualification and be willing to re-qualify when coming up for renewal.

It is also desired although not essential that you have previous experience in a similar role and hold a current First Aid at Work Qualification and a de-fib qualification

The successful candidate will demonstrate high levels of customer service, have previous experience in a similar facing role and be willing to work as a team in order to accomplish high standards set from the management team.

The hours of work are on a casual basis as and when required but will include evenings and weekends.

East Staffordshire Borough Council has a commitment to the Safeguarding and promoting the welfare of Children and Vulnerable adults and expect all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. Successful applicants will be required to undertake an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service Check.
