Passenger Assistant to start September 2018
£16,394 - £17,007 per annum, pro rata ( £8.49 - £8.81 per hour)

20 Hours per week. Split ShiftsThe role of passenger assistant is 20 hours per week, term time only. plus 1 weeks training. You will be required to work split shifts. 7.30am -9.30am and 2.40pm - 4.40pm. Monday to Friday.
The post holder will accompany and be responsible for vulnerable clients, including children with special educational needs and adults with disabilities whilst being transport.
To assist clients and ensure the safe boarding and alighting of passengers on and off fleet vehicles and to ensure the safe operation of exits from the vehicle, including tailgate lifts and where appropriate the correct fitting of passenger and wheelchair restraint systems.
Able to communicate and understand the needs of different clients and treat them individually, fairly and with compassion and dignity.
The ability to deal with emergencies in a calm and efficient manner.
Able to work as part of a team within a rota system.
Must be well organised and methodical to ensure that accurate
Experience in the direct provision of passenger transport services.
Experience in providing services for disabled and vulnerable members of the community.
