Advanced Practitioner in Public Health
35 hours per week
Salary: PO3 £35,995-£38,649 per annum
We are looking to appoint a highly motivated, experienced Practitioner to join the Public Health Directorate in Worcestershire County Council to support the commissioning and redesign process. Your role will include contributing to all stages of the commissioning cycle and the wider public health agenda, working with colleagues in the "Shaping Prevention Services" portfolio area. This includes ensuring that prevention is at the heart of all commissioned activity and progress of all our contracted services is monitored for quality and performance via the Public Health Outcomes Framework. In addition, we aim to achieve improved health outcomes and value for money for our customers, drawing on evidence based practice, research and national guidance from Public Health England
Our preferred candidate will be able to demonstrate a track record of working within health and social care systems and understanding of the importance of working closely with procurement colleagues to influence the commissioning process to achieve best value. You will be expected to have experience and knowledge of contract monitoring, how this can be used to drive innovation, and lead to improvements in public health.
