Design Services is a civil/structural/traffic engineering consultancy working in the fields of highways, bridges, building structures, agricultural engineering and traffic control & information systems. We provide programme & project management, design, procurement, construction and contract management and maintenance/asset management services to a variety of internal and external customers including developers. 

The Role

In this role you'll provide administrative support and use the business systems necessary to enable us to meet our annual financial targets, and control the cost of our projects and the management systems, which enable us to control the quality of our services. You'll experience various administrative tasks in order to become a business support professional and to enable you to complete the Level 3 apprenticeship in Business Administration. 



Fixed term contract for 18 months 

Apprenticeship Pay Scale from 1 April 2018:
 
Point 1 = £155.40 per week, £4.20 per hour, £8,108.55 per annum – initial salary for all new starters for the first 12 months of the apprenticeship 
Progression of pay after 12 months are complete as follows: 
Point 2 = £218.30 per week, £5.90 per hour, £11,390.58 per annum - completed 12 months and aged 19 - 20 
Point 3 = £273.06 per week, £7.38 per hour, £14,247.88 per annum - completed 12 months and aged 21 – 24 
Point 4 = £289.71 per week, £7.83 per hour, £15,116.66 per annum – completed 12 months and aged 25+ 

Key Requirements

- Good literacy and numeracy skills 
- Confident communication skills 
- Basic IT skills such as using MS software and using a keyboard with speed 
- The ability to analyse and interpret factual information

Another important requirement is that you can travel to Warwick, where this job will be based. Travel to work is not something that we can support you with, so please consider how you will get to work each day before applying.

This Apprenticeship will start in August/September 2018, subject to satisfactory completion of pre-employment checks. You must have completed/be about to complete full time education in order to apply.

The Training Provider for this Level 3 Business Administration apprenticeship is Heart of England Training. All training will be delivered in the work place. Applicants must not have completed a Business Administration apprenticeship at Level 3 or above in order to be eligible.
